Yorkshire Water AMP 5 Reservoirs

Carlow Precast have just completed the delivery of precast elements for the construction of a new service reservoir at Adwick Le Street. This is part of Yorkshire Waters AMP 5 programme. Carlow Precast designed a new precast concrete 4m deep modular system in close collaboration with our client for the project Mott McDonald Bentley (MMB).

The system consists of external wall units with internal units to divide  the reservoir into two sections. The roof is supported with a column and beam system. Submarine doors were fitted into some units at the time of manufacture to allow access for maintenance when the reservoir is complete. The installation of the precast elements was completed by a Carlow Precast approved contractor and was completed over an 9 day working period.

George Leslie – Newton Stewart WWTW

Carlow Precast reviewed an enquiry received from George Leslie Ltd for a project they had been awarded in Newton Stewart for Scottish Water. We offered a  precast solution for the design, manufacture and installation of 2 number Final Settlement Tank structures and an Aeration Tank structure. Our client George Leslie reviewed our proposals and ordered the precast elements.

Carlow Precast prepared a full design package for approval by our clients consultants AECOM before we commenced manufacture of the units. The units were delivered to site on time and the installation was completed by a Carlow Precast approved contractor. This arrangement is seamless as Carlow Precast transport management team work closely with approved contractor to have all deliveries on site when required.

During the installation a Carlow Precast engineer supervised progress and liaised closely with our client to ensure everything was progressed to their satisfaction.  Our client George Leslie Ltd achieved considerable cost and labour savings by going with a Carlow Precast solution.
