Large-scale residential and industrial development combined with a significant increase in rainfall, have resulted in the collection of surface water volumes exceeding the capabilities of many existing storm water systems.
The attenuation tank is a buffering device used to collect this water for controlled release to the municipal system. Used in combination with a flow control device the capabilities of the sewer can be enhanced by handling excess water over longer periods. The possibility of flooding in vulnerable downstream areas is therefore reduced.
Carlow Precast offer a number of cost effective solutions to the problem depending on the characteristics of the particular project. Heights can vary from 0.8m to 8m.
